  • Wow...after looking at my site, i thought that maybe i would wait a few more days and blog on an annual basis, but Andrea is watching the Emmy's, and i am not, so here it is...that if i don't do it now it may be another year...

We are in Walla Walla, Washington and enjoying it. For Andrea, it has its good days and not as good days...i think that moving from San Diego, empty nesting it and not finding a great church has been a struggle for her but things are getting better. She is getting involved with the YWCA, has taught a class and has a few more on the books...she grew a great garden with many rewards such as Roma tomatoes, yellow pear tomatoes, Amish paste tomatoes, green and red leaf lettuce, eggplant, radishes, green beans, hot wax peppers, jalapeno peppers, bell peppers, cucumbers, acorn squash, crookneck squash, Gerbera Daisies, cantaloupe, watermelon and a few things that didn't really work out but with some planning and adjustments, it should be better next year...she bred Mocha for the last time prior to leaving SD and we are now the Siamese cat people of Walla Walla with Mocha, Kona, Clarke and Coco...Emily has become an outdoor cat and i think that Chewy may need therapy...

We have done a lot of traveling in the Pacific Northwest visiting Seattle, Rosario Beach, San Juan Islands along with Portland and Antelope Oregon...Sara and Dusty, Mom and Dad, Hannah and her traveling drama group, our son and family friend Daniel have been our guests this summer...will you be next?...rooms are available if you are ever in the neighborhood as the door is always open...

School has just started and the opening has gone better than in years past...i think that the group here just needed some guidance and leadership and with that, we should have a great year...

Getting off for now as all the stuff i wanted to write about really has been covered by my lovely bride and i am not much for writing. So, with that said...Andrea is crocheting scarves and watching the Emmy's...Dusty and Sara are finishing up their time at Wildhorse...Kyle is doing well in school in Florida and me...folding some laundry and cuddling with my bride...

    God bless

I can tell that it is the beginning of school...I don't have time to do things anymore.

I am home today because Andrea blew out her back so I am going to take care of her...take her to the doctor and try to get her in for a massage, make her rest and teach her the ways of back pain...

Got a call from Sara last night and they are at Wildhorse...they are living in a seven bedroom home, met the other newly married couple in another seven bedroom house next door, did some get to know you thing after dinner and then start orientation today. She sounded excited to "start" their life since things have been inconsistent for her and it easier for her when she has an idea of what is going on and what is going to happen...

My goal for the summer was to weigh 180 and as of this weekend, I have to set another goal. Need to get out and exercise to keep things going in the right direction with the juicing and the mostly raw diet. I do feel much better and I am enjoying the new foods that we get to experiment with and we are eating more"sweets" than we have ever eaten before, it has been great...

Might have an opportunity in Walla Walla Washington. Called on a job that has one of my old bosses as the district manager so we chatted and things look good. It is a SDA school so their diet is closer to my own, smaller and therefore a little less stress, closer to family, affordable, and may provide us the opportunity to open our B & B that we want to do with HAcres...

Well Andrea is up now so time to get things scheduled and feeling better...Sara and Dusty are probably orientating...Kyle is trying to get up to be at work by 10:00...and me just chillin'

    God bless

Saw this with my lovely bride last night. It was suspenseful and kinda weird since at times you didn't know which reality she was in...

Today is my birthday and Mom and Dad sent some bucks my way as usual and i decided to actually spend it on fun stuff instead of what we need...Andrea and i went to Nattiyas and had fresh spring rolls for lunch, saw Bourne Ultimatum, went to the Farmers market and picked up a few things, went to the Blue Mug to get a tea, Trader Joes for a few things for our Chicken-less Pot Pie and then back home. Will open presents later and enjoy a relaxing night at home...it has been a great day...

The heat wave is breaking. Had the weekend off and couldn't do anything outside because it was so hot. It was 106 on our backyard thermometer on Monday but only 95 today and tomorrow is to be 86...downright cold compared to the past few days...

Well this one is short and sweet...Andrea is making dinner...Sara and Dusty are back from Young Life in Canada...Kyle is trying to finish up this/last years yearbook...Mocha is looking fatter and fatter every second (she is due next week) and me, just chillin' at the ripe old age of 45...

    God bless

  • It is quiet this morning and there is a fog bank that has rolled all the way into Escondido that has kept last evening and this morning on the cool side...i love this kind of weather...

Finished A Thousand Splendid Suns and thought it better than The Kite Runner. Mom commented on my last blog and when we head up to the Pacific Northwest, we'll have a more in depth conversation about it. I would recommend it, has kinda an insiders view of the turmoil of Afghanistan and the story is told through the eyes of two women, ironic since women are not too high up on the list in the Muslim world...

Was going to start another book that we got from the library but it was pretty crude. Same author as the last Monk book i read but this book had many sexual innuendos and the writer has a real potty mouth and i didn't get off the first page. Need to look for another as i am enjoying reading and don't really want to stop...

The red wall is painted and now, next paycheck, we'll buy the mirrors that she would like to put up and that project will be done...

Work was long this week, just short of 60 hours not including commute time but i have the weekend off and i am looking forward to relaxing...

My body has been doing better as well though i think that at times i still do too much and i am thankful that our hot tub now works so that i can soak away some of the soreness. The diet is great and Andrea is very creative with food stuffs. We had enchiladas last night with a mole. She wrapped some in lettuce and some in swiss chard. I liked the lettuce wraps better though both were good. She made lemon bars also but i fell asleep before i could have one...

Sara is having a rough go of it lately, physically, so please keep her in your prayers...

Well, Andrea is still sleeping as she came to bed rather late last night...Sara is probably itching...Dusty is probably trying to figure out what he can do help...Kyle is also still sleeping but knowing him, he just got to bed and me, just chillin'

    God bless

Just a short one as i need to get ready for church...read the Kite Runner already and thought i might enjoy this one. The geography and history lessons are good and characters are entertaining, glad i can find books that keep my interest since time keeps me from reading much...

NSO is over and it was a very long week but i have today off so at least i can get a little rest...

Started another red wall with Andrea...

Had a nice raw Vegetable Paella with sprouted quinoa, tasty though Andrea said she would do it a little different next time. I am guessing that we will be eating more quinoa since it is the most complete protein of all the grains...

Sat in the hot tub last night to sooth the aching muscles. It was broken but now it seems to be fine...

Got to talk with Sara last night for a little while. Seems that she had an allergic reaction to something and called mom to get some advise. They are moving into an apartment for the rest of their stay in Washington so now she and Dusty have a place of their own. I am excited for them though i miss her...

Kyle and some of his friends worked for me during NSO and made a few bucks. He is a really neat young man and i enjoyed him being there though i didn't get to work directly with him much...

I am very grateful for the wonderful children God has blessed us with and the wonderful woman i get to call my wife, she is truly a gift from God...

Well, gotta get ready. So, need to wake Andrea...Sara and Dusty are probably getting ready for church too...Kyle is working the video portion at church so he left at 7:45am to go to work and me, get ready for church, gonna enjoy Dennis' preaching and then, time to chill...

    God bless
